My go-to watch for Ironman training and racing?

9th Jul 2019

As an Ironman coach who coaches a number of beginners, one of the first questions I get asked is – what sort of training watch should I get?My answer is always – “I haven’t done a lot of research on other watches for endurance events, but one thing I do know is that the Garmin Fenix 5 is the best watch I’ve even owned!”.I first purchased the Fenix 5 about a month prior to Ironman Cairns in 2017. However the required spindle is currently out of stock and won’t be available for a few months. And so this week I ordered a new set of Crank Brothers Mallet DH …
